How Cult of Secrets works

A run is a pressure test of observation, memory, timing, and restraint.

Core Mechanics

A target symbol appears beside the board. Matching symbols rotate through ritual rings, while decoys and forbidden marks try to pull your attention away. Correct selections score knowledge. Wrong selections raise corruption.

Corruption System

Corruption grows when you tap a wrong symbol, touch a Forbidden Sigil, or let the timer expire. When the meter fills, the run ends immediately.

Symbol system

Every mark has a role.

Ancient Eye

Reliable standard points for steady recognition.

Moon Sigil

A bonus symbol that rewards quick accuracy.

Solar Glyph

A high-value symbol worth chasing when the ring is crowded.

Crystal Mark

Adds precious seconds by briefly freezing the timer drain.

Sacred Relic

Boosts your multiplier for a short scoring window.

Forbidden Sigil

Avoid it. Touching it sharply increases corruption.

Special Events

Hidden Library adds a bonus round, Ancient Prophecy doubles points, Moon Ritual accelerates movement, Crystal Vision briefly reveals answers, and Elder Awakening creates a larger bonus opportunity.

Game Modes

Knowledge Trial is balanced, Prophecy Mode rotates faster, Forbidden Archives adds more traps, and Endless Secrets keeps scaling until corruption wins.

Strategy Tips

Wait half a beat when the board reshuffles; one clean tap is worth more than three guesses.

Use Crystal Mark rounds to rebuild control instead of rushing the next symbol.

Protect long combos. Multipliers are strongest when corruption stays low.

In Forbidden Archives, identify traps first and targets second.
